Who will authorize the users: That is also a tough part of hosting an LMS. The registration data has to be approved by someone and where it will be stored. Who will get the delivery of such data, whether it will be the HR, Sales or the CRM departments? The learners will also pay the fees. So, whether the data about the fees should be stored in the accounting system of the company.
Presence of LMS: What systems in the company will host the LMS?
The flow of data: the data that gets stored on LMS through user registration needs to be sent to other systems through notifications. So, the LMS database needs to feature proper triggers for this purpose. So, it is the job of the LMS provider or the elearning companies to see that the proper triggers are in place. When so many systems will be connected through LMS integration, what tasks would have to be performed? Data Flow Diagrams must be drawn and given by the client to the LMS provider so proper syncing of computers is there at his premises.
Future needs: Moreover, in the future, many systems have to be synced with each other for the flow of data. This all needs to be explained to the LMS vendor.
Customisation is quite important in the case of an LMS integration which can be tough.
The LMS platform might not be suitable for integration on every system and hence help from a specialized vendor in integration on different systems is needed.
LMS integration on the different systems makes sure that there is the least wastage of time involved. The time of the teams operating in the client’s company also gets saved due to the implementation of a proper LMS.
